This can significantly improve the shelf life of fresh produce. The packaging can be completely sealed and still "breathe" and therefore maintain a hygienic barrier for bacteria and virus (see details).

The packaging is certified compostable and biodegradable according to European standard EN-13432, which is the internationally recognized standard for compostable packaging in Europe.
